The Four Month Program requires a $3,000 down payment followed by a monthly payment of $2,000 every month.

Yes. Community is one of the drivers of the Remote Year experience. You will live work and travel in a new city each month with the same community of traveling professionals.

Remote Year attracts professionals of all types that come from different walks of of life. Current Remotes participating in Remote Year range in age from 22-65 and come from almost 40 countries around the world.
Yes, though it doesn’t have to be a traditional 9-to-5 job. You don’t need to be a full-time employee of a company in order to join Remote Year, but we want to make it clear that Remote Year is a work and travel program, rather than just a travel program.
Unfortunately, no. Remote Year is not a job provider, however if you don’t currently have a remote work arrangement, Remote Year’s staff can provide you with guidance and resources to help your employer get comfortable with a remote work arrangement. We’ve helped hundreds of employees working for Fortune 500 companies and startups alike transition from traditional in-house positions to remote roles.
Remote Year is not currently equipped to accommodate children or pets, but we love couples! In fact, we offer a 20% discount on our monthly rates for couples that plan on living together on Remote Year. That means monthly program costs would be $1,600 per person per month rather than $2,000. To travel together as a couple, both members should submit profiles independently. If you are both matched to a program, indicate that you would like to be considered jointly in the corresponding field.
While you certainly don’t need to be fluent in English to join Remote Year, you should have basic English conversational skills.

As the first and largest organization to provide such an ambitious platform for remote professionals, Remote Year has established a formula for success. We’ve launched seventeen communities to date — and new programs are inaugurated almost every month. The iteration process is ongoing; we tailor each successive program based on community feedback.

No, Remote Year is not a job provider. All remotes on programs will be required to have a job that can be done remotely or a project that will occupy them for the length of their program.
However, if you have a job that could be done remotely (and does not require your physical presence), we may be able to help you with our Employer Approval Process.
Our communities vary in size, but always consist of passionate and interesting individuals. We offer many different Remote Year programs, and work with Remotes to find what fits them best based on interests, work schedules, timing, etc, so our community sizes range.
