Our Anansi program is named after one of the most important characters of West African, African American, and Caribbean folklore. Anansi often takes the shape of a spider, and he is known for his ability to outsmart opponents through his use of cunning, creativity, and wit. Anansi's tales were transmitted to the Caribbean by way of the transatlantic slave trade, and he is regarded as the god of stories.
From the beautiful beaches of Bali to the majestic mountains of Chiang Mai and beyond, our Anansi program delivers the best of Southeast and Eastern Asia.

On our Cruz Learn & Travel program, you will enhance your Spanish skills while also having the time to pursue professional goals and explore Latin America.
To ensure an optimized learning experience, you will be placed with fellow learners according to your level, and you will be able to customize the level of fluency you would like to commit to.

Your Anansi journey begins in historic Hanoi, Vietnam, a city famous for its centuries-old architecture and Southeast Asian, Chinese, and French influences. Spend your days navigating the narrow streets of the Old Quarter, visiting ancient lakeside pagodas, or shopping at the sprawling Đồng Xuân Market.
Next, you will venture to enchanting Chiang Mai, a city set in mountainous Northern Thailand. Discover elaborate temples, stroll along the peaceful riverside, or escape the city to hike up Doi Inthanon for sweeping panoramic views.
The adventure continues in Bali, Indonesia, a mesmerizing island that offers a perfect mix of exploration and relaxation. Whether you see yourself hiking an active volcano, wandering among the terraced rice paddies, or sampling scintillating local curries after a trip to one of the island’s stunning sandy beaches, you’re sure to love this unforgettable destination.
Finally, you will journey to Osaka, Japan, a bustling port city where modern life, delicious street food, and contemporary architecture await you. Enjoy breathtaking views from the city’s 16th-century castle, marvel at the historic Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine, or visit beautiful local parks famous for their cherry-blossom trees.
You will be staying in comfortable private bedrooms in a mix of 2-3 bedroom apartments or houses as well as hotels. In some destinations, you may even be staying in a private, one-bed hotel room.
All Remote Year accommodations are located in top neighborhoods that offer a mix of local and international flavors, and are always within walking distance from the workspace. You’ll love the great location, culturally-rich atmosphere, and easy access to countless activities.
