Though much of the dahlia’s symbolism is positive, these blooms also symbolize betrayal, dishonesty, and instability. On our Cruz Learn & Travel program, you will enhance your Spanish skills while also having the time to pursue professional goals and explore Latin America.

To ensure an optimized learning experience, you will be placed with fellow learners according to your level, and you will be able to customize the level of fluency you would like to commit to.

On this Learn & Travel program, you can expect:

Mexico City is a bustling and impressive metropolis filled with intriguing contrasts and opportunities for adventure. Chilangos (locals) are extremely friendly, local history is abundant, and the burgeoning food scene is intertwined with an exciting cultural renaissance. Wander the colonial streets of Coyoacan and San Angel where Frida Kahlo used to roam, or venture out of the city to explore ancient pyramids or nearby lakes and nature reserves. You will be staying in Condesa and Roma, a pedestrian-friendly area filled with local cafes, pop-up markets, art galleries, trendy bars and restaurants, and lush green parks.

You will be treated to 3 meals a day, all cooked with fresh ingredients sourced from the local area. We will have a chef on-site cooking delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners that honor the local culture and cuisine. If you get hungry, we’ll have snacks. Non-alcoholic beverages are included, but there will be a bar on site for those who want to purchase more than water, soda, or juice.

You will have 24/7 access to the workspace which is located in the area you’ll be staying. The space is beautifully designed, open, and welcoming with a mix of locals, entrepreneurs, and foreigners. We have a dedicated space with desks, phone booths, and bookable meeting rooms.

What’s not included?

You are responsible for your flight to the Remote Year destination city and your flight out from the destination. You are also responsible for all visas and travel insurance needed. Meals are also not included.

How many people will be on the program?

Program sizes always vary, but we usually have between 25-40 people on each program.

Can I bring my significant other or pet?

Significant Other: Yes, we’d love to have your significant other sign up for the program too! If you are sharing a bedroom, you will both receive 20% off each monthly fee. After you pay your down payment, just send us a message here and we’ll send you discounted invoices,
Pets: We are not able to support pets on programs currently, but we are going to do our best to continue exploring this option and will update you in the future if it becomes viable.

What is the visitor policy?

The full policy around visitors in Remote Year accommodations varies per destination, accommodation, and the preferences of your roommate(s) (if you have one or more). The comfort and space for your visitor will vary greatly by accommodation, so it will be up to you to determine if your living space is sufficient for your visitor. Visitors must be approved by the Program Leader and roommates. When they can be accommodated, visitors can stay in Remote Year accommodations for a maximum of 3 nights of any single month.

Which airport should I fly into for pickup?

We will be doing pickups from Mexico City (MEX) airport at 2-3 scheduled windows within the day. We will share exact times during the onboarding process, but expect the window to be around 10am - 4pm.

Can I specify roommates or food preferences?

Yes, after booking, you’ll receive an Onboarding survey to indicate your living preferences, food restrictions, and allergies.

Will I have wifi and space to work?

Yes, you will always have wifi and workspace access.

Is there parking?

What happens if I get sick during the program?

We have access to local doctors, local health resources, and health services in close proximity.
