The Nala 4-month Europe and Africa program will take you on an international adventure through two continents rich in unbelievable architecture, coastal landscapes, outstanding culinary, and inspiring locals and culture.
Named after Nala, the Zulu word meaning 'abundance,' and coming from African origin, the Nala program will let you embark through two of the world's most beautiful and diverse regions. During your Nala journey through Europe and Africa, you’ll experience the best of each region visiting 4 coastal, culturally-rich, and unique destinations: Lisbon (Portugal), Valencia (Spain), Split (Croatia), and Cape Town (South Africa).

On our Cruz Learn & Travel program, you will enhance your Spanish skills while also having the time to pursue professional goals and explore Latin America.
To ensure an optimized learning experience, you will be placed with fellow learners according to your level, and you will be able to customize the level of fluency you would like to commit to.
On this Learn & Travel program, you can expect:
Group Spanish classes taught by an instructor
(2 hours each week)
Weekly conversation practice with native Spanish speakers
(1-2 hours each week)
Culturally immersive local experiences
(2-3 each month)

During your Nala journey through Europe and Africa, you’ll experience the best of each region visiting 4 vibrant destinations.
You'll start your program by going to the most southern tip of Africa; Cape Town. One of the most nature-forward and beautiful cities on the planet, Cape Town has something for everyone. From hiking Lions Head at sunrise, to visiting the penguins who freely roam the beaches, to drinking some of the best wine you’ve ever tasted at one of the many local vineyards, Cape Town has something for everyone.
Your next three stops on your program will hit Europe’s top coastal destinations that effortlessly mix modern arts with centuries of unforgettable tradition; Lisbon, Valencia, and Split. With picturesque European architecture and energy wrapping around every corner, you can spend each day soaking up the sun and ocean air, indulging in local delicacies, and find ancient history down every winding road.
You will be staying in comfortable private bedrooms in a mix of 2-3 bedroom apartments or houses as well as hotels. You will be in amazing neighbourhoods with a mix of a local and international flavor within walking distance from the workspace. You’ll love the great location, trendy atmosphere, and access to so much to do all around you. There may be options to upgrade to a private apartment after booking.
The Nala program includes carefully curated programming that gives you an authentic taste of each country. Each program includes 2-3 locally curated experiences, country and language orientations, weekly community activities, and social events, local walking tours, skill-sharing sessions, and positive impact experiences. There are also overnight and weekend trips available at a cost. Below is a mix of some of the curated local experiences and side trips that are either included or available at a cost on your program.
