On our 1-month Zócalo program, you will experience life like a local in Mexico City with a community of remote professionals eager to understand the world, step out of their comfort zone, and embark on one of the most memorable months of their life.
We have taken inspiration for our Zócalo program name from the tradition of heading to a local square (zócalo) to celebrate the New Year. Engage in this tradition yourself as your ring in 2022 in Mexico City with our global community in this buzzing metropolis brimming with life.
On our Zócalo program, you will have the opportunity to experience Mexico City during Christmas, as the city comes to life with giant Nativity scenes and festive twinkling lights strung across boulevards. Say hello to 2022 during a special New Year celebration, where you can participate in the tradition of eating twelve grapes (and making 12 wishes!) as the clock strikes midnight on the 31st.

On our Cruz Learn & Travel program, you will enhance your Spanish skills while also having the time to pursue professional goals and explore Latin America.
To ensure an optimized learning experience, you will be placed with fellow learners according to your level, and you will be able to customize the level of fluency you would like to commit to.
On this Learn & Travel program, you can expect:
Group Spanish classes taught by an instructor
(2 hours each week)
Weekly conversation practice with native Spanish speakers
(1-2 hours each week)
Culturally immersive local experiences
(2-3 each month)
Add on packages such as additional language classes, 1:1 lessons, and side trips*

Mexico City is a bustling and impressive metropolis filled with intriguing contrasts and opportunities for adventure. Chilangos (locals) are extremely friendly, local history is abundant, and the burgeoning food scene is intertwined with an exciting cultural renaissance. Wander the colonial streets of Coyoacan and San Angel where Frida Kahlo used to roam or venture out of the city to explore ancient pyramids or nearby lakes and nature reserves. You will be staying in Condesa and Roma, a pedestrian-friendly area filled with local cafes, pop-up markets, art galleries, trendy bars and restaurants, and lush green parks.

You will be staying in spacious, private bedrooms in 2-3 bedroom apartments within walking distance from the workspace. You’ll love the great location, culturally-rich atmosphere, and easy access to countless activities.
There may be options to upgrade to a private apartment after booking.
