New participants must choose among one of our predetermined itineraries based on what fits their preferences, timeline and needs. However, city choice and order in which you visit cities cannot be customized for each individual participant. We believe that having group-based itineraries allows people to experience all the magic of the Remote Year community - which most past participants rate as their favorite part of the experience.

Once you are a Remote Year Citizen, you may choose and pay to visit any active Remote Year city for a month (or more) at a time and make use of the Remote Year Platform. Participants enjoy this particular perk because it allows them to explore other cities around the world that they didn't get to visit on their original itinerary.
